Ryan Thibodaux, DDS



Ryan is a New Orleans native and graduate of Jesuit High School. He attended LSU on a full academic/music scholarship where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree while marching in the Golden Band from Tigerland.

He received his doctoral degree from LSU school of dentistry then completed a one-year hospital based dental residency at the VA Medical Center New Orleans.

In private practice since 2001, Dr Ryan has completed hundreds of hours of Advanced training, leading to a Fellowship in the academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association(ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry(AGD), and the American Association of Clear Aligners(AACA).

From 2007-2017 he was an assistant clinical professor in the complex restorative department at LSU school of dentistry.

Dr Ryan has been a professional musician since signing his first contract at the age of 14. He is a co-founder and current trumpet player for the Bucktown All-Stars a local party band that has been called “a New Orleans institution.” In his career, he has recorded, toured, and played thousands of gigs in the region. He is a 10-year voting member of the Recording Academy and has attended the Grammy Awards three times as a VIP guest.

He is founder and creative director of the Tiger RagTag Marching Band an ensemble of over 600 former LSU TigerBand members that bring the Tiger Stadium experience to the streets of New Orleans and beyond. Several TRT videos have hit viral status on the internet.

While not creating smiles through dentistry or performing with his trumpet, Dr Ryan can be found riding his bike….everywhere. He has pedaled across the United States, pedaled in France and Italy, and pedals to work most days. He loves his bike!

He and his wife, Lynda, have two occasionally lovable toddlers: Gabriela, 19 and Owen 17 and an 8 year old golden retriever, Chloe.
